The Aquarium

Sam made it in (late!) on Thursday night, and after a slow morning on Friday, we spent most of the day at the Monterey Bay aquarium. It was really fun to share it with the boys and see a lot of the new things that have been added since I had last been there. I love the fact that it has so many interactive exhibits - it really is well done, for both children and adults.

After a quick happy hour drink on Cannery Row, we headed back to camp and made a fish chowder from all of the yummy leftovers we had been accumulating. Then we headed back out to Sunset Drive to enjoy a Pacific coast sunset together.

All in all, we had an amazing visit to Monterey. Today - exactly 3 weeks into our trip - we start heading back east. Hard to believe! We still have about four more days in California though - we're looking forward to visiting with Uncle Bob for a couple of nights, and then heading to Yosemite.

Now those posters signed by Hank Ketcham regarding Lake El Estero/Dennis The Menace Park will have meaning for the boys!
